If you’re trying to figure out how to make money online with membership sites, I’ve got good news and bad news. First the good news…you can make a ton of money, pretty much on autopilot…once you have your membership site up and running. You also get the benefit of a stable income because the money you make is based on the number of members you have rather than the success you may or may not have with a certain promotion or email marketing campaign.
The bad news is…somebody’s got to create that content every month. Now considering how much money you can make, I’m not really sure I’d call this “bad news”…but it does take some work. Meaning someone, at the end of the day, has to be responsible for creating great content. In addition, somebody has to be making sure that all of the moving parts of your membership site are taken care of, month in and month out. And that’s not always the most exhilarating or exciting thing in the world, but it does need to be done. latest world news
So if you’re constantly working at improving your membership site, and improving what you’re doing for your members…and you should be…it’s going to take a consistent effort. Personally, as an entrepreneur, that’s my biggest challenge…being consistent. I mean, it just is. You may need to take care of things yourself, or you may be better off paying someone to do these things for you on a regular basis.
That’s what I did. We’ve built up a team over time and different people are responsible for doing different things. And that’s working out really, really well as a whole.
If you do this, your members get the benefit of a really slick, smooth running site, with continuous content and information that they can use immediately to benefit from…and you get to focus on finding new and creative ways of getting people in the front end as new members, or doing other parts of the process that you are good at.
Now, if you’re a one-man or a one-woman show, that means you’re either going to need to hire someone, outsource some tasks or be really diligent about your schedule. You will want to put on your calendar the days of the month that you’re going to be making, producing and getting your content done. Or if you’re going to be outsourcing that, you’ll want to be sure to have those deadlines on your calendar as well.
I’ve learned how to make money online using membership sites, and you can too. You will have the advantage of more consistent income that you can rely on, but it will require more consistent effort, too. To keep your members happy, you will need to have a very solid schedule and a regimented system to make sure everything happens as close to on time as humanly possible-preferably early.
